Hi, I am Sophia!

Who I am

I am a Foreign Language professional transitioning into Instructional Design and Learning Experience Design, bringing a strong foundation in language education, adult learning, and learner engagement. Throughout my teaching career, I have designed learning experiences, developed instructional materials, and adapted content to meet diverse learner needs. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how people learn, what motivates them, and how to create meaningful learning opportunities. Today, I apply these insights to design engaging digital learning solutions that combine instructional design principles, storytelling, technology, and creativity to support both learning and performance improvement. 

What I have done

Over the years, I have taught learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds in different countries and learning environments. Beyond classroom instruction, I have developed instructional materials, integrated educational technology into teaching, and trained fellow teachers on digital tools and instructional strategies. These experiences strengthened my ability to analyze learning needs, organize content, and create experiences that help people build confidence and apply new skills. 

What I'm doing 

As I continue building my instructional design practice, I am particularly interested in scenario-based learning, interactive simulations, and digital learning experiences that encourage learners to think, practice, and make decisions in realistic contexts.  My projects reflect my belief that learning should be clear, purposeful, and engaging.

What I do when not designing

When I'm not designing, I'm usually :

I enjoy creative projects of all kinds, and many of those interests influence the way I approach design: with curiosity, patience, and a willingness to keep improving.

My Design Philosophy

I believe great learning experiences are built through empathy, thoughtful design, and continuous improvement. Learning should be clear, engaging, and purposeful, helping people build confidence while developing new skills. That mindset guides every project I create.
